well that wasn’t surprising.

the other day i wore my t-shirt that says “nobody puts baby in a corner.” the font it’s written in is helvetica.

so i was wearing it in the marina district, and a guy walking toward us on the sidewalk (who was also wearing a shirt with something written using the helvetica font on it, i might add) points at my shirt and says “helvetica!” and then we continued walking, even though we were both geeking out about it.

a few hours later, i was in the castro. a guy walking toward us on the sidewalk yells “nobody puts baby in a corner!!!!! i love it!!!!!! ‘dirty dancing’!! wooo!!!!1!!”

good to know that the stereotypes are alive and well in san francisco.
